A few dozen representatives of translation companies and industry players from 15 countries participated in this year’s TMS Inspiration Days. The event was held on 18-19 March 2010 in Krakow (Poland.) The initiator and organizer of the meeting was XTRF™ Translation Management Systems.

TMS Inspiration Days is a new translation market conference. The main assumption of the conference was to share knowledge and information that would inspire the participants to explore and introduce new business solutions.

The conference, themed TECHNOLOGY, KNOW-HOW, MONEY, tackled issues of importance to the managers and owners of translation companies. The participants took part in presentations and training sessions, including those on translation sales, quality policy, financial analysis, translation market analysis, software systems (CMS, CAT, and TMS), and much more. Practical workshops enabled the participants to familiarise themselves and get a hands-on experience of working with the XTRF™ and XTM systems that are used in translation companies.

TMS Inspiration Days was also an excellent opportunity to make new and interesting business contacts. The networking session proved very popular with the participants, who were split into a few groups and then had a chance to get to know other translation company representatives and present their companies’ profiles. Lively discussions continued at the official dinner that was held at “Pod Różą”, which is one of Krakow’s most prestigious and acclaimed restaurants.

The phrase that resonated throughout the event was “inspiration”. Truly, all the participants left Krakow with a smile on their faces, full of energy, and motivated.
