A few dozen representatives of translation companies and industry players from 15 countries participated in this year’s TMS Inspiration Days. The event was held 18-19 March in Krakow (Poland) in an atmosphere of inspiration and energy. 

A few dozen translation companies from across the world participated in the Translation Management System Users’ Experience research programme, organised by XTRF™. The companies tested for free the professional translation company management system at their locations for several months.

The beginning of 2010 saw the start of broad cooperation between RTG Group and XTRF™. RTG purchased and is now implementing XTRF™ Enterprise at its two offices, in Atyrau and Moscow.

LIDO-LANG Technical Translations and XTRF™ are already announcing that the year 2010 will be the year of dynamic development and extensive projects. Participants registration for TMS Inspiration Days, the first product conference, was launched a few days ago, results evaluation of the last year's TMS User Experience project is being in progress, while new employees are joining the Sales Departments.

TMS Inspiration Days is the first translation market conference where participants, in addition to information on the latest trends in technology and market development, will attain knowledge that will inspire them to explore and introduce new business solutions. The initiator and organiser of the meeting in Cracow is XTRF™ Translation Management Systems, which is mainly known in the market for its unique customer approach as well as its continuous and exceptionally rapid development. The conference will take place 18-19 March 2010.

The conference will be entitled: Technology, know-how, and money!

At the end of the year 2009, XTRF™ Translation Management Systems launched a new website. The site now has a new layout and new graphics, but most importantly, it presents the product's possibilities and functions in greater detail. Its contents were developed so that users can quickly obtain the necessary information about the system’s application and implementation.

In the second half of November, a conference titled "Automation and standardisation of the translation process", which was organised by the Volgograd State University, took place in Russia. XTRF™ Translation Management Systems was one of the main conference partners.

Representatives of the company to the conference, Managing Director Andrzej Nedoma and Operations Director for XTRF™ translation company management system Tomasz Mróz, are also going to deliver a presentation on the application of a TMS (Translation Management Systems) tool in translation companies (title: XTRF™ TMS - Why to use? Analysis of LSPs troublesome issues and weaknesses).

If you ask translation professionals ‘Does your company use a translation company management system?' they usually say ‘Yes'. However, when we look at the matter closely, it often turns out that the companies have a kind of ‘working system' rather than a professional tool for managing the company activities. Many companies still manage their projects manually, which results in numerous difficulties and mistakes.

Just like every year, XTRF™ representatives took part in conferences on translation and localisation services - ATC conference in London and TM-EUROPE conference in Warsaw. Andrzej Nedoma and Tomasz Mróz prepared presentations on chosen aspects of translation company management.
