From 16 November, on the conference website you can already register for the second edition of the event. TMS Inspiration Days 2011 will take place 7-8 April in Krakow, and its motto will be: Strategy, Market Trends, Technology.

New translation companies joined the group of XTRF™ system users; some of them were the first to implement the system in their entire country. As a result, XTRF™ is now present in Ireland (Eurotext), Hong Kong (Orange Translations), Sweden (Target Language), and Slovakia (Simulta).

In May 2010, XTRF™ introduced a restructured and graphically revived version 2.0. Today, version 2.1 is entering the market, complemented by new functions and features. Among other things, the latest version of the system offers: possibility to create e-mail templates, possibility to contact contractors via instant messengers and social networks, and self-defining search filters and payment methods.

As of September 1, 2010, XTRF Management Systems Ltd. initiated its business activity. The company was authorised by the owner of the XTRF™ brand (LIDO-LANG Technical Translations) to manage the distribution of the management system for translation companies and corporate translation departments.

Among the new functions of XTRF™ 2.0, one of the most important is the memoQ integration module. MemoQ is a well-known and appreciated translation environment. The close co-operation between XTRF™ and memoQ makes it possible to control the flow of the files effectively and to maintain complete automation at all stages of the project.

All the participants of this year’s Tekom-Trade Fair (2-5 November, Wiesbaden, Germany) are invited to Hall no. 4, stand no. 453 and 445 in order to meet the representatives of XTRF™ and LIDO-LANG.

The first term of lectures on the translation industry and XTRF™ system operation was concluded by an exam on the use of the system. In the course of the last few months, students of the faculty of linguistics and intercultural communication at the Volgograd State University have gained knowledge on the use and application of the translation company management system.

Together with the introduction of the latest version of the system (XTRF™ 2.0), a new form of licence payment has been initiated – the so-called "pay-per-use". This proposal is mainly aimed at newly established, small translation agencies searching for the possibility of limiting the initial investment expenses.

At the beginning of 2010, XTRF™ was joined by Marcin Woyna – Orlewicz, who is responsible for relations with corporate customers. Now, Tomasz Zalewski initiates his co-operation with the XTRF team. 

XTRF™ initiates another promotion campaign. This time it is directed towards translation companies from the countries in which XTRF™ system is not yet present. According to the rules of the campaign, the company that is the first to buy the system in a given country will be awarded technical support and all updates of the system until the end of 2010 free of charge. Moreover, the company will be presented on the XTRF™ webpage.
