Do You Know Your Margin?

It’s fairly easy to know the margin on a project when you have the word rate you pay and your sales price per word. But when you think about it – that’s just the linguistic margin and, while it can be good enough to tell whether a project is profitable, it does not tell you too much about the profitability of the whole account.

Your Project Manager can spend a lot of time to send out those one-sentence projects out for translation, and do much less when the files come from a CMS directly to dedicated team of linguist.

Wouldn’t it be good to be able to factor that in and know what’s your margin on all the projects you do for a client?
