I’ve always especially enjoyed this time just before the end of year. A time of looking back, analysing the results of the year’s end and planning for the next year. It’s always full of reflection on what’s already happened and plenty of enthusiasm for what we want and plan to do next year.
This year more than ever before, I’m surprised that this time has already come.
This year went by really fast, as we were very busy working on plenty of projects.
If I were to sum up what we were focussed on in one word, I would say “value”. Maximising the value of the solutions and services that we bring to our clients. Keeping strong focus on increasing this value, while at the same time minimising the entry barriers for new clients. Ensuring that the value we offer becomes accessible to more players on the translation market – from corporate translation departments and large translation companies to the smallest language services providers with just one or few people onboard.
It took lots of internal initiatives to realise this goal.
Just to mention a few – we built XTRF Academy, an online self-training platform which is accessible for free to all our clients. It allows small translation teams and companies to start using XTRF without any implementation cost. This makes
a professional translation project management and automation system available for even the smallest LSPs with tight budgets or those who’ve just launched their professional services. It also provides access to training films and other materials to all present and future XTRF users that work within our client organisations.
We opened XTRF UserEcho – an online XTRF user community platform that was initially planned to help us decide on XTRF development directions. Gathering XTRF users’ ideas on new improvements, features or usage scenarios and inviting other users to discuss, comment and develop those ideas has provided us with very valuable feedback on market needs and expectations. At the same time this platform very quickly became a place for all XTRF users to share and exchange usage tips and tricks and provide help to direct peers. XTRF UserEcho has strengthened the XTRF User Community, by allowing direct contact and conversations between XTRF Users and giving everyone a sense of participation and contribution.
Our focus on value, and work on the aforementioned and other initiatives helped us grow a lot as a company – in terms of the number of served clients, active licenses and the amount of projects and business managed every day on
the XTRF Platform.
